Hadley Newman is the Managing Director at Omobono DMCC, a leading specialist communications agency.
He advises CXOs on the strategic role that digital communications and technology can play in strengthening business performance. Originally from London, Hadley has worked across key communication disciplines for Intel, Samsung, and MasterCard.
He moved to the Middle East in 2006 and has worked with the national telecommunications operators of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Hadley was previously a Director with Cheil Worldwide, Publicis and DDB, he is experienced in creating specialised practice units and leading multidisciplinary teams in start-up and established companies.
Hadley received a full scholarship to complete his PhD from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh, his research focus is human-machine communication and behavioural intention. He holds a master’s degree in International Business Management and Marketing.
He is a published commentator on AI in politics, and host of two-day conference, part of Future Technology Week 2018, dedicated to artificial intelligence titled ‘AI Talks’ with eminent speakers from Microsoft, IBM, SAP and Google, and explored cognitive technologies, regulation and ethics in AI.
In 2018 his work was accepted as written evidence for the House of Lords Select Committee report on artificial intelligence. He was Elected a Fellow of The Royal Society of The Arts (FRSA) in 2013, and is Chair of the Communication Sub-committee of the British Business Group of Dubai and Northern Emirates.
